About Clean Minds
A small publishing project covering one narrow subject: what the products sold for sleep and memory are actually designed to do, and where the science behind them stops.
Why this website exists
Memory and sleep sit at the sharp end of consumer marketing, because the fear is real and the science is genuinely interesting. That combination produces a great deal of copy in which a legitimate research finding is stretched into a claim the study never made. Clean Minds exists to hold those two things apart — what the research actually found, and what a product is entitled to claim on the back of it.
We are a consumer information website. We do not design, manufacture, sell or ship any product, and we are not a clinic. Nobody here practises medicine, and nothing we publish is a diagnosis, a treatment plan or a substitute for seeing a doctor.
The product category we cover
Our coverage focuses on sleep and the products sold around it — pillows, mattresses, sleep trackers and the supplements marketed for memory and focus. Derila Ergo is the product featured on our homepage.
This is a category where careful expectation-setting is not optional, because the readers are often frightened. A pillow is a comfort product. It is not a medical device, it does not treat any condition, and no trial has shown that any pillow affects memory or the brain’s overnight waste clearance. Where we describe research, we state exactly what it studied — and, just as importantly, what it did not.

Our editorial approach
Claims we will not make
No invented statistics, no fabricated customer counts, no countdown timers and no manufactured scarcity. We never claim a consumer product treats, prevents or reverses a medical condition, and we do not use fear of dementia to sell anything.
How we frame products
Products are described in terms of what they are designed to do, with the caveats attached. We use words like “may” and “varies” where those are the honest words, even when a stronger one would convert better.
Advertising, disclosed up front
Our homepage article is a paid advertorial and is labelled as one at the very top of the page, above the header, before any content. Nothing about that arrangement is buried in a footnote.
Corrections
If something we publish is inaccurate or has gone out of date, write to us and we will review it. Specifications, pricing and return terms change often, and so does the research; we would rather fix a page than defend it.
Transparency about commercial relationships
Clean Minds is a commercially supported website. The homepage article is sponsored content, and the links to the featured product are affiliate links. If a reader goes on to use or purchase something after following one of those links, this website may receive compensation from the advertiser or its affiliate network.
That compensation does not add anything to the price a reader pays, and it does not buy a guarantee of positive coverage — the caveats above sit on the same page as the promotion. Full details are set out in our Advertising Disclaimer.
Who we write for
Our audience is general-interest: adults, often in their fifties and sixties, who are worried about their memory or their sleep and want a straightforward explanation before spending money. Content is written in US English and reflects US consumer-privacy expectations, including the rights described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not provide legal, financial, medical or professional advice of any kind, and nothing on this website should be treated as such. Always confirm a provider's current terms and pricing with that provider.
